Health Equity
30-55% of health outcomes are influenced by social determinants of health. Addressing social determinants of health, such as food insecurity, inadequate housing and other environmental factors is fundamental to addressing health inequities and improving quality of life for all.
Social Justice
Approximately 5.1 billion people or two-thirds of the worlds population have at least one unmet justice need. This includes individuals who have been victims of a crime and lack legal support, as well as those who lack opportunities that are guaranteed to them by the law. Acknowledging the social structures that contribute to these statistics is imperative to addressing them.
